Pinion, the nation’s leading food and agricultural consulting and accounting firm, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Risk Management team. This role focuses on transforming data into actionable insights to support dairy farms and other agricultural clients, contributing to strategic growth while working in a collaborative, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and Interpret Data: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to support client decision-making and growth initiatives.
  • Deliver Accurate Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and benchmarking, while providing actionable insights.
  • Collaborate for Impact: Partner with team members to identify process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support Growth: Provide timely analytics to guide regional and national expansion strategies.
  • Adapt and Innovate: Continuously learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies to strengthen analytical capabilities.
  • Engage with Clients: Participate in on-site visits to dairy farms up to twice a week, with limited overnight travel.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software; experience with farm/production management software (e.g., DairyComp, FeedWatch) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in agriculture, particularly dairy operations.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills for presenting findings.
  • Self-motivated, curious, adaptable, and comfortable leveraging technology for data analysis.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to rural locations; limited overnight travel required.
