General Purpose:

The Financial Analyst’s primary function is to analyze and interpret personnel expense trends and supporting data, compare to budget expectations and interpret the trends in terms of overall company performance. The Financial Analyst will also support the financial planning team with annual budget and financial outlook planning primarily focusing on personnel expense.

Direct Reports:

Works under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn all aspects of TPx’s personnel expense related operational processes to support corporate financial reporting and operational metrics analysis
  • Organize data from various sources into comprehensive excel documents for analysis
  • Analyze financial data and recent trends to determine present operational performance
  • Develop reports for financial reporting on personnel expense and its related key performance indices that help the business better understand the business trends.
  • Establish and maintain database of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts
  • Work with accounting, finance, and business leaders to determine the appropriate metrics and data to report to better understand the business in a constantly changing business environment.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to existing processes to enhance alignment and increase reporting accuracy

Other Responsibilities:

  • May be required to support other finance activities as business needs dictate.
  • Support/Manage ad hoc projects on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain positive working relationships and be willing to collaborate with all employees and managers within Finance and other departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university with a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance preferred.
  • Certification in Microsoft Excel highly desired.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in expense and/or business analysis required.
  • Two (2) years of work experience in a corporate environment preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Other Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Ability to think critically and strong intellectual curiosity is a must
  • Must be trustworthy and able to handle/maintain confidential information
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to observe and explain trends in large data sets
  • Must be proficient and fluent in the English language
  • Must have the ability to regularly communicate in a manner that is respectful, professional and collaborative
