Financial Aid Coordinator (Full Time)
The Financial Aid Coordinator reports to the Student Accounts Manager and is primarily responsible for auditing student files, packaging student aid, and providing support to the campuses to ensure seamless financial aid processing for students.
All financial aid is packaged and disbursed by the Student Finance Department under the supervision of the Senior Director of Student Finance & Student Records.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide support, clarification, and resolution to the campuses to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
- Review and process Financial Aid documentation in a multi system environment for incoming and continuing students
- Review ISIR information to ensure accurate resolution of issues affecting student eligibility (c-codes, conflicting information, and verification requirements when applicable) and manage all data changes
- Collaborate with the campus staff to ensure collection of required student/parent information to complete the verification/packaging process, timely and accurately
- Review and process professional judgement for appeals and special circumstances, as necessary
- Package Federal Financial Aid in accordance with all policies and regulations
- Maintain current knowledge of Federal Financial Aid and other applicable regulations by attending conferences and/or online training opportunities and reviewing regulatory changes to assist in evaluating changes/assessing impact to the company and implementing appropriate policy or procedural changes to ensure compliance
- Provide campus staff with guidance and support in understanding the requirements in areas of data collection, eligibility, verification processing and more
- Assist in preparation for and completion of annual federal financial aid audits
- Identify exiting students and process tuition refunds calculations (if applicable) and return to Title IV (R2T4) calculations to ensure timely and accurate compliance with Federal Regulations
- Complete a full account review for students who are scheduled to graduate
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirement And Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous student financial aid experience preferred
- Experienced in Microsoft Office software applications
- Related industry experience in federal financial aid preferred
- Experience with Anthology Student, student management software preferred
Skills & Abilities
- All Federal Student Loans must not be in default to gain access to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)
- Continued employment is contingent on Federal Student Loans being in good standing while employed

Compensation
- Full Time, Non-Exempt
- Hourly
- $22.00 – $27.05/hr
