AECOM is offering an exciting remote internship opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance/Tax Intern to join their corporate finance division. Role Overview:
As a Finance/Tax Intern, you will support the finance team with a range of responsibilities related to indirect tax, helping ensure compliance and assisting with financial operations. You’ll gain exposure to real-world financial tasks and learn valuable problem-solving and research skills in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide troubleshooting support for various indirect tax-related issues
• Assist in preparing documentation and responses for indirect tax audits
• Support the tax team with ad hoc special projects as assigned
• Collaborate closely with other team members to navigate and solve complex finance problems
• Gain real-world, hands-on skills that complement your academic training
• Take on duties that offer a broad and well-rounded exposure to financial practices
Minimum Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Economics, or a closely related field
• Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework
• Intention to continue education after the internship (unless graduating)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with financial principles and general accounting concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to quick deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
• Experience using Indirect Tax Research Tools such as Avalara/TTR, RIA Checkpoint, or Bloomberg is a plus
• Demonstrated skills in project management and multitasking
Additional Information:
• This role does not include sponsorship for U.S. work authorization
• Relocation assistance and per diem are not available for this internship
• Internship is expected to begin in Summer 2025
• Compensation will vary depending on location and individual qualifications
