Role Overview:
We’re hiring a hands-on Finance Manager — our first dedicated finance hire — to build and operate core finance functions. You will design scalable financial processes, own budgeting/forecasting, support investor reporting, and help shape finance operations across fiat and crypto activities. This role reports to leadership and partners closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Finance & Accounting Operations:
▪ Establish and scale finance systems, select tools, define workflows, and implement reporting/approval structures across multiple entities.
▪ Oversee AP/AR, reconciliations, expense management, and maintain accurate books in line with relevant accounting standards.
▪ Manage payroll (in-house or vendor) and ensure compliant, timely payments across jurisdictions.
Reporting:
▪ Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and investors.
▪ Contribute to investor updates and fundraising materials with clear, data-driven financial analysis.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
▪ Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow models at both entity and consolidated levels.
▪ Monitor performance versus plan, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
▪ Partner with department heads globally to optimise spend and resource allocation.
Compliance & Controls:
▪ Ensure tax compliance and timely filings across relevant jurisdictions.
▪ Design and maintain internal controls, approval processes, and compliance policies.
▪ Prepare for audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
Crypto & Web3 Financial Operations:
▪ Support treasury operations for fiat and crypto — wallets, custody, transfers, and accurate recording.
▪ Track token-related transactions and manage the accounting implications in coordination with external providers.
Basic Qualifications:
▪ 5+ years in corporate finance, FP&A, or accounting roles at global tech organisations.
▪ Strong grasp of FP&A, GAAP (or other applicable accounting frameworks), internal controls, compliance and risk management.
▪ Track record of building and implementing finance processes and systems.
▪ Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
▪ CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
▪ Strategic finance experience and prior exposure to crypto/web3 finance operations.
