Description:
Novolex®, a leading innovator in packaging solutions, is seeking a Finance Manager for Operations to join our team. This role will bridge operations and finance, providing actionable insights, monitoring key performance metrics, and supporting strategic decision-making across our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between the Operations team and Finance organization, leveraging strong business partnering, metric tracking, and KPI reporting.
- Partner with plant managers and operations leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze machine performance, and improve production efficiency.
- Provide financial insights and actionable data to business leaders to inform strategy.
- Monitor and report on cost drivers, including labor, materials, overhead, and logistics.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and support operations planning.
- Evaluate ROI for capital investments, including business case development and post-implementation tracking.
- Conduct monthly analyses on direct/indirect costs, material usage variances, labor, and production mix.
- Present financial and operational results to leadership and plant-level teams, tailoring communication for executives and hourly associates.
- Support digital transformation initiatives using tools like Power BI, OneStream, Hyperion, and AX Dynamics.
- Collaborate with IT to improve data integrity and reporting capabilities.
Requirements & Skills:
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience working cross-functionally and managing competing priorities.
- Knowledge of income statement analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and familiarity with AX Dynamics, HFM/Essbase, Power BI, or similar tools.
- High initiative, self-direction, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
