About the Role
EDGE is seeking an experienced Finance Manager (FP&A) to oversee the financial operations of one of its business entities. The role partners closely with engineering, program management, procurement and technology teams to deliver timely analysis, robust planning and to support strategic decision-making across product and project portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Reporting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, monthly/quarterly reporting and variance analysis to give leadership clear line-of-sight into performance.
  • Project Finance & Cost Control: Track project costs, analyse profitability and maintain controls to ensure projects meet financial targets.
  • Investment & Business Case Support: Build business cases and financial models to evaluate new product development, R&D initiatives and capital investments.
  • Performance Analysis: Provide actionable insight on KPIs, margins and drivers of performance to support commercial and operational decisions.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure financial processes comply with EDGE policies and IFRS standards; support internal and external audits.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams to align financial plans with program schedules and procurement commitments.
  • Systems & BI: Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards (BI/ERP) to automate reporting and improve data-driven decision making.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 5–10 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within high-tech, R&D, engineering or complex project environments.
  • Technical skills: Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools and ERP systems (e.g., Power BI, SAP/Oracle or similar).
  • Accounting standards: Solid understanding of IFRS and audit requirements.
  • Analytical & commercial mindset: Ability to translate data into strategic recommendations and clear business cases.
  • Communication & influence: Excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills to present findings to senior leadership.
  • Education & certifications: Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics; professional accounting qualification advantageous.
