Wall Street Oasis – Finance Expert
Mercor is seeking experienced Finance Experts based in the U.S., UK, Canada, Europe, or East Asia to participate in a research project for a leading foundational model AI lab. This role is ideal for finance professionals with at least two years of experience in top-tier investment banking or private equity firms and exposure to one or more of the following areas:
Eligible Areas:
- Product groups: Restructuring & Distressed Investing, PIPE / convertible security models, IPO modeling, Derivatives
- Coverage groups: Biotech, Gaming & Lodging, Telecom
Role Details:
- Fully asynchronous work that can be performed around your schedule
- Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week
- Contract expected to run until December
- Successful contributions may lead to selection for future Mercor projects
- Vetting process includes:
- 10 minute behavioral interview on previous deal experience
- Technical assessment (<30 minutes) to evaluate financial expertise
- One 2-hour paid assessment of modeling skills
Compensation & Legal Status:
- $150/hour, paid weekly via Stripe Connect based on logged hours
- Classified as an “at-will” contractor
- H1-B or STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported at this time
