Role overview:
As an Associate Finance Manager you will be the finance business partner for Mako and Enabling Technologies (MET) R&D and the DRE (Digital, Robotics & Enabling Technology) teams. You’ll manage project spend, create financial clarity for decision-makers, and help shape investments that accelerate innovation. This is a hands-on FP&A role that combines monthly financial close activities with strategic modeling and portfolio-level reporting.

What you will do:

• Partner with R&D project teams to manage monthly close tasks, accurately track expenses, and explain budget variances.
• Act as the finance lead for the DRE business to ensure project spend aligns with partnership agreements and expectations.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning for MET R&D portfolios.
• Build and maintain financial models for new product development and present model summaries to senior leadership to support investment decisions.
• Develop portfolio-level reporting to prioritize projects and guide long-term planning across the innovation pipeline.
• Collaborate with MET R&D leaders and cross-functional teams to analyze project spend, identify risks, and drive corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify or strengthen complex financial structures and reporting processes.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of finance or FP&A experience.
• Strong financial modeling, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred:

• CPA or MBA.
• Experience with HFM, Oracle, and SAP.

Compensation & benefits:

• Salary range: $87,600 – $186,700 per year (final offer dependent on experience and other factors).
