Kiva is currently seeking a Finance Associate, Fund Operations to join its Kiva Capital Management team. This position will support the operations and financial activities of Kiva’s impact investment funds, providing hands-on experience in fund management, accounting, treasury operations, and investor relations. The role reports directly to the Senior Director of Finance and offers exposure to the fields of impact investing and asset management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

California Rebuilding Fund Operations and Reporting

  • Act as the primary liaison for the California Rebuilding Fund, maintaining relationships with stakeholders including CDFIs, investors, and governance committees.
  • Manage the monthly performance file process with partner financial institutions and assist in quarterly reporting.
  • Review financial statements and prepare compliance and impact reports.
  • Coordinate bi-annual meetings for the Kiva Donor Advised Fund (K-DAF).

Treasury Management

  • Develop bi-weekly cash flow projections and manage fund invoicing.
  • Oversee all fund-related payments and expense processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with fund administrators to facilitate timely investor payments.
  • Collect and organize monthly bank statements and optimize fund cash allocations.

Finance Operations

  • Report monthly revenue results for key performance metrics and financial tracking.
  • Manage balance confirmations and assist with Salesforce data and financial policy maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the Finance and Operations team to ensure efficient execution of fund operations.

Key Stakeholder Support

  • Partner with fund administrators on audit, tax, and financial matters.
  • Support audits and assist with ad hoc financial documentation requests.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under deadlines.
  • Experience with fund administration or impact investment operations preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (or Google Sheets and Slides).
  • Independent, self-motivated, and adaptable to remote work environments.
