Alchemy is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Finance & Accounts Manager to join its leadership team within the port and maritime sector. This senior role is responsible for managing the complete finance and accounting operations of the organization while ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and strategic support to management.
The Finance & Accounts Manager will play a critical role in safeguarding financial integrity, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and supporting long-term business planning. The position involves active participation in performance management systems, balanced scorecard implementation, and continuous improvement of financial processes.
Key responsibilities include overseeing accounting operations, managing audits, leading budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring VAT and IFRS compliance, and aligning financial practices with UAE regulatory frameworks. The role also focuses on system enhancements, ERP upgrades, payroll management, and efficient processing of employee-related payments.
This position reports directly to the Director – Finance and leads the accounts team across multiple functional areas. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep industry-specific financial knowledge, and hands-on experience with Oracle ERP Financial Systems.
Candidates must have extensive experience in finance and accounts, including significant managerial responsibility within a seaport or maritime environment. A strong understanding of IFRS standards, VAT regulations, and UAE compliance requirements is essential for success in this role.
