Description:
ProMach is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. This remote position offers the opportunity to travel extensively within North America while delivering top-notch technical support and service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, set up, and perform field rebuilds (partial or complete) on Wexxar/Bel/IPak machines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, HMI, and Servo control issues in the field
  • Identify and resolve electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical problems on equipment
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting over the phone or on-site at their facility
  • Collaborate with engineering on customer FATs, sign-offs, and technical support
  • Advise customers on necessary parts and recommend purchases
  • Complete service reports, expense reports, and incident documentation in Syteline
  • Travel on short notice for customer emergencies and coordinate your own travel arrangements per company policies
  • Continuously update technical knowledge through on-site and off-site training sessions

Requirements:

  • Technical college/university trade certification (Millwright, Technician) or at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in packaging or automation industry preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, Servo controls (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron; Festo/Bosch)
  • Ability to read pneumatic and wiring schematics and follow industrial electrical codes
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to work with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Valid passport and ability to travel extensively in North America (70-85%)
  • Own car with a valid driver’s license
