Overview
City University Ajman is looking for a proactive Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain campus facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient and well-kept environment for students, faculty and staff. This role requires hands-on supervision of maintenance operations, strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate with contractors and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and supervise day-to-day campus maintenance and facilities operations.
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance staff, external contractors and service providers.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage maintenance budgets, inventory control and prepare operational reports.
- Provide training to staff on equipment use, safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
- Respond to facility-related enquiries, incidents and complaints in a professional manner.
- Recommend capital equipment purchases and supervise minor projects and upgrades.
Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or similar.
- Demonstrates proven experience in facilities management, maintenance supervision or engineering oversight.
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Knowledgeable about building systems, health & safety requirements and compliance practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
