Description:
Navan is seeking an Event Travel Manager to provide high-quality travel management support to key clients and the Event Travel team. This remote role focuses on delivering personalized travel assistance, managing client relationships, and ensuring smooth coordination of event travel programs.
The successful candidate will support travelers before, during, and after their journeys while handling travel arrangements, resolving booking issues, and maintaining strong client partnerships. This position requires excellent communication skills, travel industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personalized travel support to clients by assisting with flight, hotel, car, and rail bookings, including changes, cancellations, and updates.
• Deliver accurate fare information and travel options based on client requirements.
• Work closely with client contacts to understand travel program objectives and deliver effective solutions.
• Maintain project documentation, service agreements, SLAs, and compliance records.
• Troubleshoot traveler issues by using internal tools and travel resources.
• Coordinate event travel programs from post-sale planning through final billing.
• Participate in team meetings to stay updated on product launches, industry developments, and company initiatives.
• Continuously improve knowledge of travel platforms, industry trends, and best practices.
• Support team leads with operational and client service activities.
Requirements:
• 1–3 years of experience in group travel planning is preferred.
• Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with travel booking systems and platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and ability to learn new technologies.
• Experience handling client-facing video calls for setup and project management.
• Knowledge of internal communication tools such as Slack.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize urgent requests, and resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and empathetic approach.
• Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-growing environment.
• Experience with GDS systems such as Sabre, Amadeus, and NDC is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Corporate travel management, booking processes, and itinerary coordination.
• GDS systems, ticketing, PNR creation, and travel technology platforms.
• Client relationship management, customer support, and travel program operations.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Basic understanding of world geography and interest in travel.
