Description:
Deloitte is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Contractor to support a high-profile enterprise technology client within its Cloud organization. This is a remote, contract-based role focused on managing and delivering in-person, virtual, and hybrid events across the United States. Reporting directly to the Events Lead, the selected professional will be responsible for translating B2B business goals into structured, measurable event programs while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong experience in technology-driven B2B events, end-to-end event execution, and performance reporting with a clear focus on ROI and continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate full lifecycle planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events
- Translate intake briefs into detailed event plans, including objectives, KPIs, budgets, and timelines
- Lead cross-functional planning sessions and standups while maintaining risk, issue, and RACI logs
- Collaborate with Event Coordinators and Producers on run-of-show planning, rehearsals, and on-site delivery
- Manage vendor sourcing, RFPs, SOWs, selection processes, and performance tracking
- Oversee attendee registration, communications, accessibility requirements, and localized experiences
- Partner with content and speaker teams to manage agendas, speaker coordination, and approvals
- Track budget forecasts, accruals, reconciliations, savings, and variances
- Ensure lead capture processes and data quality before CRM and Sales handover
- Deliver comprehensive post-event reports with insights, ROI analysis, and optimization recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
- 6–8 years of experience in B2B event marketing or management with multi-market delivery
- Strong background in vendor management, budgeting, timelines, and stakeholder coordination
- Hands-on experience with event registration and virtual event platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse teams and regions
- Flexibility to support live event hours and travel when required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of experience in B2B technology or enterprise-level events
- Exposure to global flagship, partner, and third-party events
- Knowledge of privacy, branding, and accessibility standards for events
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Asana or Smartsheet, Cvent, Splash, or Bizzabo
- Experience with analytics tools such as Looker or Tableau and CRM/marketing automation platforms like Salesforce or Marketo
- CMP or project management certifications (PMP / Prince2) are an advantage
