Description:
ISACA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of virtual, in-person, and hybrid events across its global portfolio. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality experiences for attendees, speakers, VIPs, sponsors, and internal stakeholders. The position requires strong technical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.

Key Responsibilities – Event Coordination & Delivery:

  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics for virtual, in-person, and hybrid events including webinars, conferences, summits, meetings, livestreams, and tradeshows
  • Provide live-day support such as attendee assistance, speaker coordination, moderation, check-in, wayfinding, booth support, and CPE scanning
  • Facilitate technical rehearsals, tech runs, and pre-recordings for presenters and subject matter experts
  • Support on-site setup and operational readiness for physical events

Tier 2 Customer Support & Issue Resolution:

  • Act as Tier 2 escalation support for complex event-related inquiries
  • Troubleshoot registration, access, technology, and logistical issues
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles and self-service resources to reduce repeat issues

Event Technology & Platform Management:

  • Build, configure, and manage event platforms and tools for all event formats
  • Oversee technical setup, live execution, and post-event processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to platforms, workflows, and best practices

Stakeholder, Speaker & VIP Coordination:

  • Manage logistics for Board members, VIPs, sponsors, speakers, and staff
  • Prepare and distribute confirmation letters, visa letters, and formal communications
  • Coordinate invitations, scheduling, and pre-event communications for high-profile participants

Post-Event Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Assist with post-event reporting, metrics tracking, and event close-out activities
  • Contribute to lessons learned and process optimization initiatives

In-Person & Conference Support:

  • Coordinate shipping, inventory, booth logistics, onsite registration, and event materials
  • Provide on-site attendee services including room support and customer assistance
  • Support procurement and inventory management of event supplies

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily remote or office-based work with extensive computer use and virtual meetings
  • For in-person events, may require standing, walking, and moving within event venues
  • Ability to lift or carry event materials up to 25–30 pounds
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends based on event schedules

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination, virtual events, operations, customer service, or administrative support
  • Strong understanding of event logistics, especially virtual and hybrid formats
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working across multiple digital platforms

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Event Production, Training & Media, or similar field
  • 3+ years of experience in event coordination or event operations
  • Experience with platforms such as ON24, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Jira, or similar tools
  • Exposure to audio, basic video production, and live-event technical support
  • Experience working with international teams and global audiences
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)
  • Background in association or membership-based organizations
  • DES (Digital Event Strategist) certification is a plus

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 20% domestic, regional, or international travel may be required to support events and organizational meetings
