Description:
VORTEXEN UAE is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator – Firestopping to join its growing team in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in passive fire protection estimation, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and tender costing, with the ability to analyze technical drawings and project documents.
This role offers an opportunity to work with a growing construction team while supporting accurate project cost planning and commercial submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare cost estimates, commercial quotations, and tender submissions for firestopping projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs using PlanSwift and analyze project drawings.
• Review AutoCAD drawings, BOQs, specifications, and construction documents.
• Identify firestopping requirements from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Estimate material, labor, and installation costs for projects.
• Prepare detailed BOQs, cost breakdowns, and pricing documents.
• Coordinate with suppliers to collect and evaluate material quotations.
• Review project scope, variations, and commercial requirements.
• Work closely with project and technical teams to ensure accurate estimations.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Firestopping or Passive Fire Protection estimation.
• Proficiency in PlanSwift and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of quantity surveying, quantity take-offs, and BOQ preparation.
• Knowledge of firestopping materials, systems, and installation methods.
• Ability to interpret construction and MEP drawings.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
• UAE construction industry experience will be an advantage.
• Immediate joiners or candidates available at short notice are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Passive Fire Protection estimation.
• Construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Tender costing and commercial calculations.
