Hiring — Estimator
Premier Marine Engineering Services LLC, based in Dubai Maritime City, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our marine projects team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of marine project costing and the ability to translate technical drawings and contract terms into reliable estimates that support bidding and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and other resources for shipbuilding and repair projects.
• Review project drawings, technical specifications, and contracts to determine requirements and scope.
• Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and procurement to validate and refine estimate inputs.
• Support the Senior Estimator by identifying risks, potential cost overruns, and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Ensure estimates align with project scope, budgets, and timelines; update estimates as project details evolve.
• Maintain thorough documentation of calculations, assumptions, and revisions; assist in preparing client and management reports.
Requirements / Skills:
• Strong understanding of marine project specifications and the cost drivers for materials, labor, and resources.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, contracts, and engineering documents.
• Proficiency with cost estimation software and common estimating tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
• Familiarity with marine industry standards and regulations (IMO, ISO) is desirable.
