Description:
Escrow Administration Specialist (Entry Level / Remote)
Join a growing team that supports full-lifecycle mortgage servicing — this entry-level role focuses on accurate loan-level escrow data review and routine escrow processes. You’ll work remotely while handling foundational escrow tasks, performing data entry, and escalating more complex issues in line with federal and state regulations and company procedures.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out assigned tasks in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Review, reconcile and validate escrow data in preparation for RESPA annual analyses, including shortage/surplus checks and tax disbursement updates for uneven agencies.
- Produce manual escrow analyses, mock escrow figures for loans under modification, and detailed escrow breakdowns to support foreclosure proceedings.
- Research and maintain Flood Insurance records, perform rechecks, and order determinations for acquired loans.
- Verify tax and insurance details from closing documents, upload legal descriptions, and ensure accurate setup of tax, insurance and flood panel information in systems.
- Handle FHA/PMI/USDA refunds and cancellation requests.
- Assign, track and reconcile origination-based escrow issues for new loans.
- Escalate higher-level or complex escrow matters when necessary and troubleshoot basic escrow issues independently.
- Use basic arithmetic and attention to detail to record, balance, and check results for accuracy.
What you’ll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years’ experience in banking, finance, mortgage, or escrow preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with mortgage loan servicing and origination systems (examples: FiServ/Sagent, Encompass, SmartWeb, AutoPilot, OnBase) is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision, and capable of organizing short-term work priorities.
- Strong attention to detail, basic analytical ability, and good written/verbal communication.
