The Opportunity:
As an Engineering Manager for the Developer Experience team, you will lead and support up to 7 software engineers, facilitating roadmap execution and ensuring that ActBlue’s engineering teams can deploy to production safely with minimal friction. The team focuses on making software development productive, observable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and software development expertise to your team
- Support professional growth of direct reports through feedback, goal-setting, and regular check-ins
- Collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, and UX leads to plan and implement roadmaps
- Ensure effective communication and context-sharing across teams
- Partner with engineering leadership to cultivate a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment
Requirements:
- Proven success in inclusive management and team leadership
- Strong software engineering background with technical decision-making experience
- Skilled in project scoping, planning, and execution
- Motivated to support team and individual success
- Committed to fostering psychologically safe environments for teams
Tools & Technology:
- Rails, Node.js, PostgreSQL, React, Sidekiq/Redis, Terraform
- GitHub, automated testing, continuous integration, cloud deployment
