CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a highly skilled Engineer III – Cloud to join our Core Asset Platform team. As part of our mission to stop breaches, you will work on large-scale distributed systems handling over 3 trillion events per day. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to innovate in cloud infrastructure while contributing to the security of organizations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead backend engineering initiatives from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products
• Design, build, and enhance cloud-based systems in a micro-service architecture
• Collaborate across multiple teams to brainstorm and develop innovative solutions
• Mentor and be mentored on web, backend, and data storage technologies
• Continuously improve product architecture, performance, and user experience
• Take ownership of deliverables, demonstrating initiative and accountability
• Contribute to and leverage open-source communities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Expertise in Go (Golang), OpenSearch, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, GIT, and AWS
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, concurrency, and parallel processing
• Experience in scaling backend systems using sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling
• Strong engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and resilient architecture
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, test-driven environments
• Commitment to producing high-quality, production-ready software
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications:
• Contributions to open-source projects or libraries
• Experience in cybersecurity or intelligence sectors
• Prior exposure to AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, or OpenSearch
Additional Requirements:
• Periodic background and fingerprint checks may be required for government customer projects
