Job Summary:
ANT Engineering Consultants is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector with a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring site electrical works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and authority regulations, and reporting to the project engineer or resident engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect all electrical installations including power, lighting, fire alarm, ELV, and grounding systems on site.
- Review and verify material deliveries and ensure they comply with approved submittals and project specifications.
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out as per applicable codes (DEWA, DM, DCD, and other relevant UAE authority standards).
- Attend site inspections, testing and commissioning, and prepare reports on findings and compliance status.
- Monitor contractor’s workmanship to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.
- Review and comment on electrical shop drawings, method statements, and inspection requests.
- Report non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support in authority inspections (e.g., DEWA, DCD) and assist in closing related comments.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain proper documentation of all inspection activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in UAE construction supervision/inspection roles.
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulations and authority submission procedures (DEWA, DCD, DM).
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
- Proficient in reading electrical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- UAE Driving License is an advantage.
