Description:

Clio is seeking an Editor to join its Editorial team and support the development and maintenance of high-quality legal content powering its legal technology platform. As a global leader in legal AI solutions, Clio helps legal professionals and law firms work more efficiently while improving access to justice.

The Editor will be responsible for maintaining legal content accuracy, analyzing statutes, regulations, and court cases, and ensuring editorial standards across legal collections. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong legal research skills, an interest in the U.S. court system, and a passion for using technology and AI to improve editorial workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and maintain statutes, administrative codes, and case law for assigned jurisdictions.

• Review and apply case treatment taxonomies to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Write and update case headnotes, summaries, and legal content digests.

• Perform quality checks on editorial work completed by internal editors and external contractors.

• Identify content gaps, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with technical teams on editorial data pipelines and content tools.

• Work with the Content team to prioritize editorial projects and backlogs.

• Use internal editorial platforms and jurisdiction-specific tools to manage legal content.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of the U.S. Court System and legal research practices.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or attorney experience is highly preferred.

• Experience with statute editing, legal content management, proprietary citators, or case analysis.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and quality.

• Strong written communication and organizational skills.

• Interest in using AI and technology to improve editorial processes.
