About the Role
Gannett, a leading media company with national and local reach, is seeking an experienced eCommerce Specialist to oversee the online USA TODAY Network store. The role focuses on enhancing the store’s functionality, user experience, product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management. This position aims to expand reach, drive revenue growth, and improve customer satisfaction through data-driven strategies, digital marketing, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Merchandise/Content Planning: Coordinate store merchandise with content plans, major events, and sporting events to maximize sales across USA TODAY Network platforms.
  • Managing Online Sales Channels: Maintain and optimize the online monetization of the USA TODAY Network store.
  • Digital Marketing: Create and execute strategies to increase product visibility, drive traffic, and boost conversion rates.
  • SEO: Optimize website content and structure to enhance organic search performance.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor KPIs, analyze sales and monetization data, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock levels and ensure accurate product information online.
  • E-commerce Platform Management: Oversee product listings, order processing, and payment handling on the platform.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with content commerce, content monetization, consumer, and product teams to integrate the store into content plans.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries related to store products.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in consumer brand eCommerce (minimum 5 years), ideally in sports, books, or media.
  • Strong technical skills with eCommerce platforms like Shopify, SEO tools, digital marketing, and data analysis software.
