Description:
McGlinchey Stafford is seeking a detail-oriented e-Billing Coordinator to manage and process electronic billing submissions across various client accounts. The ideal candidate will work closely with attorneys, billing teams, and third-party vendors to ensure all e-bills are accurately prepared, submitted, and tracked in compliance with client billing guidelines and firm standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and interpret client billing guidelines, ensuring compliance with rate structures and fee arrangements.
• Maintain an organized list of special billing instructions, including attorney preferences, formatting standards, and expense policies.
• Collaborate with attorneys and billing personnel to prepare and validate e-bills in accordance with client requirements.
• Upload and transmit invoices in Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) format via approved e-billing platforms.
• Submit and monitor e-bills through third-party systems, ensuring successful processing and resolving rejections promptly.
• Partner with the billing and appeals teams to manage invoice reductions, adjustments, and appeals as necessary.
• Submit timekeeper data for client approval and handle complex billing scenarios such as flat fees, phase billing, or multi-payor setups.
• Generate analytical and historical reports for management and client review.
• Map client setups within BillBlast to ensure compliance with billing requirements.
• Communicate with e-billing vendors to resolve submission errors and account-related issues.
• Manage special billing projects and other related administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Familiarity with legal billing systems such as Aderant and BillBlast preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on professionalism.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Understanding of basic accounting and billing principles.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving billing challenges efficiently.
