A job vacancy is currently open for an experienced Draftsman to join the Commercial Department within the marine industry. This role is based in ICAD 2, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, and is suitable for candidates with strong hands-on experience supporting commercial and tendering activities in marine-related projects, preferably within the GCC region.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing and developing detailed technical drawings related to marine works, including vessels, yachts, offshore and onshore structures, and repair projects. The role also involves supporting the Commercial Department by providing drawings for tenders, quotations, cost estimations, and BOQs.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and revising drawings in line with engineering, commercial, and client requirements, as well as coordinating closely with engineering, estimation, and project teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications. The Draftsman will also ensure that all drawings comply with marine standards, classification society rules, and client specifications.

Additional duties include maintaining proper documentation control for drawings and revisions, assisting with material take-offs, supporting technical clarifications during tender and execution stages, and adhering to company quality, safety, and drafting standards.

Requirements for this position include proficiency in AutoCAD, solid experience in preparing drawings for tenders and commercial proposals, and strong knowledge of marine structures, vessels, yachts, and repair or construction drawings. Prior experience in the GCC marine industry is essential.
