Description:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Documentation Specialist to support an Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a Department of War (DoW) client. The position focuses on creating, reviewing, and maintaining clear and accurate technical documentation while supporting cybersecurity and compliance requirements within a government environment.

The successful candidate will develop policies, standard operating procedures, technical guides, and other program documentation. The role also involves managing document revisions, creating technical visualizations, tracking documentation for the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure documentation meets required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and maintain policies, standard operating procedures, technical guides, and other technical documentation.

• Develop and maintain Air Force Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs/TOs), Telecommunication Survey Installation Plans (TSIPs), and Installation Plans (I-Plans).

• Review existing documentation for accuracy, compliance, and opportunities for improvement.

• Manage document versions, revisions, deadlines, and document management processes.

• Handle sensitive information securely while following applicable security requirements.

• Create data flow diagrams, network diagrams, elevation diagrams, charts, graphs, and other visual content.

• Track documentation required for the ATO process.

• Collaborate with government departments and stakeholders to gather information and maintain accurate documentation.

• Ensure paper and digital documentation meets applicable government requirements and regulations.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Minimum 2 years of related professional experience.

• Experience developing Air Force Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs/TOs), TSIPs, and I-Plans is mandatory.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines.

• Ability to handle sensitive and classified information with discretion.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge of Department of War documentation standards, compliance requirements, and classification markings.

• Secret clearance is obtainable; current Secret clearance is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Technical documentation, document management, and revision control

• Air Force TCTOs/TOs, TSIPs, and I-Plans

• Government documentation standards, security requirements, and ATO processes
