Overview:
Avēsis is hiring a detail-oriented Document Specialist to support the Provider Relations team by developing, maintaining, and improving Dental and Vision provider manuals, toolkits, and other provider-facing materials. This role helps make provider interactions clearer and more efficient by ensuring documents are accurate, easy to use, and aligned with operational needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and support provider education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Create, update and maintain Dental and Vision Provider Manuals, toolkits, bulletins, training materials, presentations and other provider-facing documents.
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement operational improvements that enhance day-to-day workflows.
Support Provider Relations operations by helping the team meet operational and quality KPIs.
Respond to provider inquiries, research issues, and recommend edits or clarifications to reduce confusion or disputes.
Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations and training materials for external and internal audiences.
Organize and prioritize multiple documentation projects and meet deadlines consistently.
Represent Avēsis professionally at work-related events or conferences as required.

Core Competencies & Tools:
• Solid knowledge of health plan operations and familiarity with provider/health plan contracts.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (formulas, pivots, charts) and proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with Smartsheet or similar workflow/project tools and basic data analysis capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborative, member-focused, and able to exercise discretion with confidential information.

Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience working in a Dental/Vision office or in a related document management / provider relations role.
• Comprehension of medical/dental/vision terminology.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years experience with health insurance claims and data-analysis to resolve provider claim issues is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and ability to use own vehicle.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings, trade shows and related events.
• Reliable home internet (recommended 50 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up hardwired) for remote work.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of Provider Relations or Member Engagement experience.
• Certifications such as DANB (Certified Dental Assistant) or ophthalmic technician certifications are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
National Salary Range: $46,080 – $90,080.
Bonus Eligible: Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
