We are currently seeking a Remote Docketing Specialist to support our legal teams by managing court dates, deadlines, and filings with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and update court dates, deadlines, and events in the docketing system.
- Review pleadings, motions, and legal documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Partner with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to meet filing deadlines.
- Verify docket entries meet court and jurisdictional rules.
- Research court rules and procedures and provide updates to the team.
- Suggest improvements to streamline departmental processes.
- Support team projects and perform duties as assigned by the Docketing Manager.
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices to maintain effective communication.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm or legal department.
- Experience with rule-based calendaring software (CourtAlert is a plus).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear and respectful communication skills.
- Ability to organize work, manage deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Problem-solving skills and a willingness to research answers independently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
