Description:
Oak View Group (OVG) — a global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live events industry — is hiring a Director of Field Finance to support its OVG360 division. This role will directly report to the Senior Regional Director of Finance and play a key part in providing financial insight, analysis, and guidance that drives corporate and strategic decision-making.
The Director of Field Finance will oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for multiple facilities, working closely with venue finance teams and management to ensure operational and financial excellence. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with strong motivation, strategic thinking, and a passion for the sports and entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the interim Director of Finance at venues where the position is vacant.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Prepare detailed financial statements, monthly and annual reports, and budgets for clients and corporate leadership.
• Collaborate with General Managers and finance teams to apply industry best practices.
• Support the review and approval process for venue budgets before client submission.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting and tax obligations.
• Assist in projecting event deals, preparing event P&L statements, and reconciling shows.
• Oversee payroll operations for timely and accurate processing.
• Supervise box office, ticket sales, and food and beverage accounting functions.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls by developing and documenting policies.
• Lead onboarding processes for new business finance teams.
• Act as a subject matter expert on accounting systems and lead staff training initiatives.
Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential preferred.
Functional Skills & Experience:
• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Prior background in sports, entertainment, or facility management industries.
• Experience overseeing multiple venues or regional operations is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, with hands-on financial management expertise.
• Skilled in financial planning, analysis, and back-office operations (A/P, A/R, Payroll).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in NetSuite and Sage systems is a plus.
