📄 License Required: Department of Health (DoH) – Abu Dhabi Licensed Dietician
This role is dedicated to offering culturally sensitive nutrition advice to postpartum mothers, newborns, and families, supporting recovery, promoting healthy feeding practices, and enhancing overall family nutrition.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Evaluate the nutritional requirements of postpartum mothers and develop personalized dietary plans
✅ Educate parents about breastfeeding nutrition, formula feeding when necessary, and the introduction of solids
✅ Address postnatal issues such as weight management, anemia, hydration, and vitamin/mineral supplementation
✅ Provide nutritional guidance for special cases including C-section recovery, diabetes, allergies, and cultural preferences
✅ Collaborate closely with nurses, midwives, lactation consultants, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals
✅ Refer cases requiring specialized medical nutrition therapy or clinical intervention
✅ Develop culturally appropriate educational resources and participate in workshops or group sessions
✅ Maintain precise and confidential dietary records in line with DoH regulations
✅ Encourage lifelong healthy eating habits through early family nutrition education
Qualifications:
✅ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nutrition and Dietetics or a related discipline
✅ Active DoH license or eligibility to practice as a Dietician in Abu Dhabi
✅ At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in maternal, pediatric, or community nutrition
✅ Understanding of UAE dietary customs and local nutrition issues is a plus
✅ Experience with home visits or family-centered care is preferred
