Zoom is seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to support the continuous availability and performance of high-visibility platforms such as Team Chat and Zoom Events. This role is critical to ensuring around-the-clock service continuity for applications relied upon by millions of users globally. About the Team:
The Engineering Operations team is the backbone of Zoom’s platform stability and performance. The team is responsible for managing and supporting core collaboration services by implementing strong operational practices, advanced monitoring, and security strategies to deliver a seamless user experience worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement zero-downtime, highly available systems with uptime targets of 99.999%
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) strategies across multiple regional data centers
- Investigate and resolve complex production, performance, and functional issues
- Collaborate with vendors, infrastructure teams, and engineering partners to improve security and service reliability
- Administer monitoring tools and provide troubleshooting support during outages across systems and backend services
- Build, enhance, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and configuration management
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident management, and after-hours or weekend deployments when required
- Act as the primary regional point of contact, handling operational queries, updates, and related processes
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and integrations
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy
- Hands-on expertise in configuration and deployment tools including Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins
- Solid experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and Docker
- Strong analytical thinking and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and approach challenges creatively
