Description:
A well-established organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join its IT support team. This role involves providing both on-site and remote technical assistance to end-users across the organization, ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on experience with enterprise IT environments, and the capability to support a wide range of hardware, software, and network-related issues. The role requires excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to IT service delivery.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic IT environment supporting infrastructure stability, system performance, and end-user satisfaction across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, IP phones, and mobile devices
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems when required
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and enterprise software
• Manage user accounts, including Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration
• Maintain and support Windows and macOS environments, along with Microsoft Office applications
• Perform system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for end-user devices and peripherals
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Document incidents, resolutions, and support activities in the service desk system
• Assist in IT infrastructure rollouts, branch setups, and technology deployment projects
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and standards including ITIL, ISO 20000, and ISO 27001
Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and IT troubleshooting practices
• Experience with SCCM, Lansweeper, ManageEngine, or similar IT support tools
• Good understanding of networking concepts and operating systems
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Intune
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of:
• Desktop and laptop troubleshooting techniques
• Enterprise IT support tools and systems
• IT service management processes and standards
