Overview:
Aspire MS is recruiting an experienced Design Manager to lead interior design projects based on Al Reem Island. You will head a team of designers and be responsible for guiding the creative and technical direction from initial concept through to project handover. This role requires a proactive leader who can combine strong design sensibilities with practical coordination across execution and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of interior designers, providing direction, feedback and performance oversight.
- Oversee the full design lifecycle — concept development, detailed design, documentation and final delivery.
- Ensure design solutions meet client briefs, quality standards and timelines.
- Coordinate closely with execution and procurement teams to align design intent with buildability, material procurement and cost considerations.
- Prepare and present design proposals and presentations to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Monitor project progress and resolve design-related issues promptly to maintain schedule and quality.
Requirements:
- Only European candidates currently residing in the UAE will be considered.
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience with a demonstrable record of leading interior design teams.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with strong ability to motivate and develop designers.
- Outstanding presentation and client-handling capabilities; confident in client-facing meetings and negotiations.
- Proven experience coordinating with execution and procurement to ensure design intent is implemented effectively.
- Strong technical knowledge of drawings, specifications and industry-standard design processes.
