About the Role:
The company is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on expertise in DB2 environments. This role focuses on maintaining the performance, security, integrity, and stability of databases while overseeing the physical database design and operational processes. The DBA will be responsible for implementing enhancements, managing resource utilization, and ensuring smooth transitions across development, testing, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support day-to-day DB2 database operations and processes.
  • Ensure overall database stability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring.
  • Review and optimize database designs to improve system integration and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery policies.
  • Track transaction activity and resource usage to ensure consistent performance.
  • Establish and enforce procedural standards, policies, and documentation.
  • Oversee environment management, including upgrades, migrations, and version transitions.
  • Develop and refine operational workflows for database management.
