Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Availability to work full-time virtually in Schenectady or Rochester, NY.
- 1-2 years of data entry or claims experience preferred with high accuracy.
- Strong typing skills (5,000–7,000 keystrokes per hour preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Team-oriented with curiosity to innovate and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter claim forms from electronic images and paper documents into internal systems.
- Maintain and update non-provider demographic information and manage provider-initiated changes.
- Load new providers and maintain existing records in systems such as Facets and Macess.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory claim payment timeframes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality benchmarks.
- Adapt to evolving business needs, including occasional overtime.
- Support other responsibilities as needed to enhance healthcare delivery and customer satisfaction.
