Description:
Addus HomeCare is actively seeking a Data Entry Specialist to support our payroll operations remotely from Lisle, IL. This role plays a key part in the payroll cycle, with a focus on time entry and correction using the Horizon platform and other EVV systems to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise data entry for employee timesheets and EVV logs into Horizon for centralized branches.
  • Make timely corrections to SDR reports within Horizon to support payroll accuracy.
  • Pre-process payroll files in Horizon, then export them to ADP Vantage for gross-to-net payroll completion.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll files in compliance with organizational standards.
  • Ensure all payroll data entries meet scheduled deadlines, especially during peak periods like holidays.
  • Complete and verify payroll data audits to ensure integrity of information submitted.
  • Collaborate on special projects and support general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Follow HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines in handling sensitive employee data.
  • Consistently uphold confidentiality and handle information securely.

Requirements & Competencies:

  • High school diploma or GED is required; an associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a data entry role is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with Horizon or EVV systems is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Comfortable learning and navigating new technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Occasional weekend work may be required during critical payroll periods or holidays
