Church Media Squad is recruiting a Data Analyst for a full-time, fully remote role starting in January 2026. This position plays a key part in driving the data vision behind the company’s long-term growth strategy. As an organization dedicated to elevating church media nationwide, the role focuses on using data insights to empower leadership decisions and enhance partner retention.
You will collaborate closely with the VP of Systems to investigate large data sets, identify significant trends, and create models that forecast partner churn. The role also involves building executive dashboards, offering clear and actionable insights, and communicating findings in a way that supports strategic decision-making. As a remote-first team operating entirely on Apple devices, a new Mac will be provided six weeks after onboarding.
Church Media Squad operates from Salt Lake City, Utah and is passionate about supporting churches across the country. Their mission-driven approach stems from a desire to contribute positively to ministry efforts, particularly in one of the least-churched regions in the U.S.
What You Will Do:
- Work within a member-facing schedule aligned to 9 AM–5 PM CST (±2 hours).
- Partner with the VP of Systems to define success metrics, key business questions, and churn hypotheses.
- Collaborate with VPs and Directors to explore meaningful data trends.
- Build predictive churn models capable of flagging at-risk partners up to 90 days prior.
- Create and maintain real-time dashboards using Supabase and BI tools.
- Work with Systems Integrators to unify data across Squad and Remix systems.
- Communicate data insights clearly in written reports and live discussions.
- Stay actively engaged in the company Slack environment.

What You Bring:
- Strong skills in SQL and Python, especially for data modeling and manipulation.
- Understanding of statistical concepts and the difference between correlation and causation.
- Experience building predictive models (e.g., logistic regression, random forest).
- Ability to create BI dashboards and meaningful data visualizations.
- Comfort using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to boost productivity.
- Excellent communication skills, especially when translating technical work for non-technical teams.
- Bonus points for familiarity with:
- Supabase or PostgreSQL
- Data warehousing and architecture
- Experience working with or serving Christian churches
- Being based in North America
