Description:

GovCIO is seeking a skilled and analytical Data Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with data monitoring, reporting, and management activities during VistA Pre and Post Cutover operations. This role supports the transition from the legacy VistA system to the new Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) environment through structured data analysis, reporting, and operational tracking.

The successful candidate will help monitor data movements, analyze usage data elements, develop executive reporting materials, and support project communication efforts. This fully remote position requires strong analytical abilities, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with geographically distributed teams during core business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage data cutover preparation activities and monitor progress throughout pre and post cutover phases.

• Collect, analyze, and prepare cutover status reports and project updates.

• Translate complex technical issues into clear, concise, and well-structured written communications.

• Develop and maintain data dashboards, workflow automation tools, and reporting solutions for technical and executive audiences.

• Create and support data communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.

• Conduct research, analyze business information needs, and support the creation of reporting deliverables.

• Track project progress, forecast timelines, and report key metrics, challenges, and risks.

• Prepare responses and updates for weekly executive-level reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience.

• Equivalent experience may substitute for education requirements.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Power Apps.

• Experience using collaboration and productivity tools such as Teams, Jira, Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.

• Ability to obtain and maintain VA Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Strong knowledge of:

• Data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and workflow automation.

• Microsoft Excel, Power Apps, and collaborative technology platforms.

• Healthcare technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

• Project tracking, metrics reporting, and executive communications.

• Data management practices within large-scale enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting VA OIT, Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) initiatives, or Oracle Health (Cerner) implementations.

• Experience working with remote and geographically distributed teams.

• Background supporting healthcare modernization or enterprise digital transformation projects.

• Experience with SharePoint and Power Apps administration for dashboards and team communication solutions.
