The Customer Technical Support Representative role at zyBooks (a Wiley brand) is focused on assisting students and instructors with technical support through email using Zendesk. The representative will troubleshoot issues, guide users on application features, and provide account management assistance.
Job Responsibilities
- Review student and instructor feedback on zyBooks content and assess its validity.
- Assist users with account management tasks, such as merging accounts, transferring subscriptions, and resetting passwords.
- Escalate technical issues to internal teams, monitor progress, and communicate updates to users.
- Support zyBooks Bookstore and Creation teams during peak periods, generating zyBooks and access keys.
- Provide feedback on internal processes and suggest improvements.
- Track common trends and share findings with the team.
Required Qualifications
- Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in CS, CE, IT, Engineering, or Math.
- Basic proficiency in introductory-level coursework, such as loops, branches, and functions in C, C++, Python, or Java.
- Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.
- Availability to work off hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Access to a laptop or computer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience using zyBooks as a student.
- Beginner skills in Matlab, MySQL, and web programming (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
- Interest in remaining with the position for more than one year.
