Description:
Acentra Health is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join their expanding team. This front-line service role supports state benefit system members and providers by addressing inquiries related to eligibility, benefits, claims, and service authorizations. The position is currently remote, with the expectation that candidates reside within driving distance of El Paso, TX or Tallahassee, FL, as work location needs may change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work scheduled shifts between 8:00am–8:00pm, Monday through Friday, based on operational needs.
- Respond accurately to inbound calls and process provider and member inquiries.
- Resolve service or billing complaints under general supervision using sound judgment.
- Contact customers to provide information on complex inquiries or claim investigations.
- Escalate unresolved grievances, appeals, or claims to designated departments.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions.
- Actively listen and probe callers to understand their needs.
- Research and communicate information regarding member eligibility and claims.
- Educate providers on claim submission processes and treatment plans.
- Perform follow-up tasks to ensure member or provider satisfaction.
- Support team members and participate in collaborative team activities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- At least 1 year of call center experience.
- Must live within driving distance of El Paso, TX or Tallahassee, FL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Accurate documentation and record-keeping skills.
