Acentra Health is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. As part of our team, you will actively engage in problem-solving and take ownership of your work to deliver exceptional service to our partners and clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of internal policies, procedures, and services.
- Utilize automated systems for logging, retrieving information, and performing accurate data entry.
- Respond to inquiries via telephone, email, fax, or mail within required turnaround times.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to telephone inquiries.
- Interact professionally with external partners, including hospitals, physicians, beneficiaries, and program recipients.
- Perform verification of healthcare services to facilitate payment for services received.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners.
- Investigate and resolve provider-related issues or escalate when necessary.
- Meet or exceed departmental standards for call volume and service level.
- Initiate cases by collecting and entering demographic, provider, and procedure information.
- Complete daily, monthly, and quarterly reports to support clinical team operations.
- Adhere to corporate policies, including HIPAA privacy and security rules.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of the health insurance industry
- Effective verbal and listening skills
- Bilingual Spanish-English a plus
