Description:
Nsi Group, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Customer Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role focuses on ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction while coordinating with sales, operations, and procurement departments. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling urgent client needs and unique requests efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Manage key customer inquiries promptly and professionally
• Organize customer setup, prepare documentation, create new item forms, and maintain reporting in the ERP system
• Confirm order receptions, provide ETAs to customers and distribution centers, and follow through on fulfillment
• Collaborate interdepartmentally to ensure accurate and timely shipment of orders, including assisting with invoice creation and review
• Resolve order discrepancies through coordination with customers, sales, operations, and accounting
• Optimize transportation of finished goods, selecting routes and carriers to reduce delivery times and control costs
• Handle customer inquiries and concerns clearly and professionally
• Achieve productivity standards while maintaining the highest level of customer service
• Engage in process improvements and create new standard operating procedures
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for internal collaboration and customer interaction
• Proficiency in Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets; experience with EDI is a plus
• Comfortable using ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred); Mac experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in customer operations or sales administration within the food/CPG industry, interacting directly with supermarket chains and retailers
Work Environment:
• Remote work is available, but candidates must reside within 1–2 hours of NSI’s Elmhurst office for in-person meetings
