Description:
Docker, Inc., a leading platform for building, sharing, and running applications, is seeking a Customer Experience Engineer (CXE) to join our global, remote-first team. This role focuses on post-sales digital engagement, driving product adoption and customer success through programmatic, 1:many initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Program Design & Adoption:
- Design, launch, and manage digital programs including webinars, workshops, cohort-based enablement, and automated lifecycle journeys
- Build and manage customer cohorts based on lifecycle stage, product usage, and engagement signals
- Ensure programs are repeatable, measurable, and continuously improved
- Journey Monitoring, Testing & Optimization:
- Track digital customer journeys using engagement data, product telemetry, and lifecycle metrics
- Test, refine, and optimize programs through messaging, timing, targeting, and structure iteration
- Close feedback loops between customer behavior, program design, and performance
- Technical Enablement & Expertise Development:
- Provide technical enablement for platform, security, and developer audiences
- Create and maintain reusable digital assets such as guides, walkthroughs, labs, and recordings
- Continuously expand technical knowledge across Docker products and adjacent technologies
- Customer Insights & Lifecycle Intelligence:
- Analyze adoption, engagement, and lifecycle data to generate actionable insights
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and CX Operations to improve programs and customer experiences
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Sales, TAMs, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to align on lifecycle goals
- Amplify impact through scalable programs and systems rather than individual interactions
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in customer success, technical enablement, solutions engineering, or program-oriented post-sales roles
- Strong technical foundation with Docker, containers, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
- Experience designing or running digital, 1:many programs that influence adoption or behavior
- Comfortable working with data, usage metrics, dashboards, and experimentation results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to technical audiences
Preferred:
- Familiarity with digital customer success tools (e.g., Gainsight, HubSpot, Marketo)
- Exposure to product-led growth (PLG) or usage-based lifecycle models
- Experience optimizing customer journeys through testing and iteration
Onboarding & Growth:
- First 30 days: Learn Docker platform, customer lifecycle, and existing CXE programs
- First 60 days: Take ownership of digital programs and analyze engagement data
- First 90 days: Implement optimizations to improve adoption metrics and contribute to lifecycle strategy
