Description:
Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Associate to support credit, collections, and financial operations across branches. The role involves managing customer accounts, assisting with new and existing account setup, establishing credit lines, and ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong professional relationships with key customers and manage assigned portfolios efficiently
  • Assist district teams with account openings, setting credit limits, and releasing tickets
  • Process new account applications and communicate application status to branches, including analyzing credit reports (D&B, Credit Net, personal reports)
  • Collaborate with corporate, district, and branch personnel to support company and branch objectives
  • Deliver excellent customer service and timely responses to inquiries
  • Support leadership with credit goals, legal matters, reporting, and special projects
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and coordinate corrective action plans with credit leadership
  • Manage lien and bond reports to ensure protection of mechanic’s lien and bond rights
  • Prepare and send preliminary notices for jobs in compliance with state statutes
  • Resolve disputed or short-paid invoices and coordinate EFT/ACH payments
  • Participate in credit association meetings and provide relevant data
  • Research accounts to determine final demand letters or account holds as necessary

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and time constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with high attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Credit, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • NACM certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
  • Occasional reaching, bending, twisting, and kneeling
  • Use of computer, phone, and printer
  • Close vision at 20 inches or less
