Description:
Ross Stores is seeking a hands-on Coordinator, Facilities II to coordinate and oversee repair and maintenance activities across assigned retail locations. Working remotely, you’ll manage vendor relationships, track and close work orders, support multi-store capital and expense projects, and use historical data to drive process improvements that reduce repeat issues and control costs.

General Purpose:
Coordinate repairs and preventative work across a wide range of building systems — HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, fire systems, elevators, lighting, flooring, signage, pest control, landscaping, and more — ensuring projects are completed to standard, on budget, and on schedule.

Essential Functions:

  • Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests, assigning work to appropriate vendors and negotiating competitive pricing.
  • Manage and monitor work orders using ServiceChannel (or similar CMMS), minimizing aging work orders and ensuring timely completion.
  • Review, code, and record invoices; track maintenance costs versus budget and support budget development.
  • Approve high-value work orders and capital projects up to Manager level and assist with vendor selection and onboarding.
  • Maintain vendor documentation, including Certificates of Insurance and indemnification agreements.
  • Coordinate multi-department activities (Real Estate, Store Ops, Loss Prevention, Risk Management) as needed for project execution.
  • Support justification, analysis, and rollout of multi-store capital programs (e.g., HVAC replacement, ADA upgrades).
  • Use repair-history analysis to identify recurring problems and recommend process or vendor-performance improvements.
  • Keep departmental records and equipment histories up to date.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–4 years experience in facilities, maintenance, or construction management.
  • Proficiency with PC tools including Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with CMMS/ServiceChannel and energy management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to solicit bids/RFPs and negotiate contracts.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Physical Requirements/Ada:

  • Work performed primarily in an office/remote environment with standard computer and meeting participation requirements. Regular attendance and reliable communication are expected.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Work Arrangement & Location Notes:

  • This role may be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States. Some travel or coordination with field teams may be required depending on project needs.

Compensation Note:

  • The base pay range for this role is $31.35 – $46.85 per hour. Actual pay will depend on experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. This range is one component of the total rewards package.
