Description:
USA Football, the governing body of American football in the United States and a recognized organization under the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee, is seeking a Coordinator, Events to plan and execute its diverse portfolio of events. This role plays a key part in delivering premier educational, development, and competitive programs for American football, including both tackle and flag football, as well as managing national team events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate across departments to implement innovative programming and event solutions for USA Football stakeholders.
• Support all stages of event planning and execution.
• Coordinate operational logistics, including event registration, hotel arrangements, catering, equipment orders, asset movement, inventory, storage, and event setup/teardown.
• Liaise with suppliers, facilities, hotels, catering vendors, and partners.
• Recruit, hire, and manage event staff, volunteers, officials, and athletic trainers.
• Execute onsite events efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues before, during, and after events.
• Assist in meeting event metrics, reconciling expenses, and managing budgets.
• Follow best practices to continually enhance event quality.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, Legal, and Finance departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in sports team operations, athletic departments, or event operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage diverse personalities and work collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask and solve problems hands-on.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to events (30–40% annually, including extended periods in Spring and Summer).
• Knowledge of youth sports, National Governing Bodies, and USA Football’s mission.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
• Primarily remote office work when not traveling.
• Routine use of computers and phones; ability to sit for extended periods, read, listen, bend, stoop, and use manual dexterity.
Travel:
Estimated 30–40% annually.
