Description:
McGraw Hill is seeking a detail-oriented Content QA Specialist to ensure the quality, accuracy, and effectiveness of digital educational content. The successful candidate will establish and execute quality assurance processes, review educational content for accuracy and compliance, and collaborate with content teams to improve production workflows. This role plays a critical part in supporting AI-powered content development by identifying quality issues, improving standards, and ensuring learning materials meet instructional and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive quality assurance processes for AI-generated and human-created educational content.
• Review course materials for accuracy, instructional effectiveness, formatting, accessibility, copyright readiness, and compliance standards.
• Create and maintain QA checklists, review frameworks, and quality standards documentation.
• Collaborate with content teams to establish quality checkpoints throughout the production process.
• Review content metadata, tagging structures, and topic classifications to ensure accurate organization and discoverability.
• Analyze quality trends, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements to content development workflows.
• Evaluate AI-generated content for inaccuracies, outdated information, hallucinations, and instructional inconsistencies.
• Support improvements to AI content creation guidelines and authoring templates based on QA findings.
• Conduct accessibility reviews to ensure digital content meets standards such as WCAG and Section 508.
• Track and communicate quality metrics and improvement opportunities to leadership teams.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in content quality assurance, editorial review, instructional design, digital publishing, or related areas.
• Experience reviewing, auditing, or evaluating AI-generated content is preferred.
• Strong understanding of AI content limitations, inaccuracies, hallucinations, and quality risks.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to evaluate content from instructional, editorial, and technical perspectives.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and compliance requirements for digital educational content.
• Experience working in Agile production environments and sprint-based review cycles.
• Proficiency with content management systems, learning platforms, or similar digital publishing tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
