Description:


NMI is seeking an experienced Content Manager to lead the company’s content strategy and help strengthen its position in embedded payments and fintech. This role is responsible for creating and managing content across multiple formats—from strategic thought leadership to product-focused materials—to engage core audiences including ISOs, banks, payments professionals, ISVs, and developers. Success is measured not only by output but also by audience engagement, clarity of messaging, and impact on go-to-market goals.

The ideal candidate is both a strong writer and a strategic thinker, capable of managing a content calendar, collaborating cross-functionally, working with agencies and subject matter experts, and experimenting with new formats and distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and own NMI’s content strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and go-to-market priorities

• Build and manage an editorial calendar supporting key themes, campaigns, product launches, and integrated marketing programs

• Lead the creation of high-quality content, including website copy, blogs, whitepapers, ebooks, case studies, and thought leadership

• Communicate complex payments and fintech topics clearly for diverse audiences including technical and business stakeholders

• Establish NMI’s presence on external platforms, forums, and community channels, including Substack, Reddit, GitHub, and other industry-specific spaces

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and subject matter experts to produce credible and accurate content

• Serve as the senior editorial authority, setting tone of voice, reviewing content, and ensuring brand consistency

• Measure content performance, conduct audits, and refine strategy using insights

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in content or editorial roles in payments, fintech, SaaS, or similar technology sectors

• Strong understanding of payments, embedded payments, and NMI’s target audiences

• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills adaptable for multiple audiences and channels

• Working knowledge of SEO, keyword strategy, and analytics to inform content decisions

• Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives

• Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and shape thought leadership narratives

• Comfortable creating content for both owned and community-driven platforms

• High standards for quality, accuracy, and consistency
