Description:
Al Ghurair Infrastructure is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Manager – Civil to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This position focuses on supervising and managing the civil construction components of substation projects, ensuring that all structural elements are executed according to the highest engineering and quality standards required for power utility infrastructure.
The selected candidate will play an essential role in managing site operations and ensuring that the civil framework of substations—including foundations, concrete structures, and cable trench systems—is completed efficiently and in compliance with engineering requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of large-scale infrastructure construction and the ability to coordinate closely with multiple project stakeholders.
Working as part of a professional project team, the Construction Manager will ensure that civil construction activities progress smoothly while maintaining strict safety procedures, operational efficiency, and quality assurance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Civil Execution: Oversee and manage all civil construction activities related to substation development, including structural works, foundations, and supporting infrastructure.
- Quality Control: Ensure that construction processes, documentation, and inspections comply with UAE engineering and project quality standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with Project Managers, consultants, and engineering teams to synchronize civil construction progress with electrical installation stages.
- Resource Optimization: Supervise site operations effectively while ensuring optimal use of materials, manpower, and equipment to maintain project efficiency.
- Site Safety: Implement strict safety measures and maintain full compliance with site safety protocols and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in civil construction works related to power infrastructure or large-scale industrial projects.
- Authority Approval: Candidates holding approvals from ETIHADWE or FEWA will have a strong advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Proven capability to lead construction teams and manage complex project site logistics.
- Availability: Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period.
